So, in the last year, I’ve modded two telecasters (SX Furrian’s with American Alder and Canadian Maple neck), and I really love them. On the surf green one, I put in some hot ceramic P90’s (Wilkinson) with 500k pots and an orange drop capacitor. I took out all the Chinese electronics, replacing them with an oak bridge switch and bourns pots, and replaced the bridge with a solid brass fixed bridge and brass saddles. I replaced the tuners with Wilkinson EZ Locks (for both guitars).
On the natural finish one, I replaced the pickguard, pickups (PlanetTone Vintage set), the switch and pots. I used a MOD oil in paper capacitor for tone. On this one, I bought a wiring set from from MOD that came with an oak bridge and CTS 250k pots. It’s really nice and spanky.
